Talita Maris is an Italian abstract painter.

Graduated in psychology and criminology, she entered the world of art through cinema (director of the documentary ‘Iron and Bread’) and a pictorial research inspired by expressionism.
In her works, colors, shapes and lines either intertwine together or fight against each other.

She uses an impulsive, gestural application of paint and symbolic colors to express subjective emotions.
Her work is untied by rules and motivated by a desire to provoke an emotional response in the viewer.

Paint has always been therapeutic to me, even as a child. I’ve always loved to be alone and to get my hands dirt; and I’ve always been triggered by the fact that during a painting process all unexpected can happen.'
